1. Assalamualaikum. Habibi, how are you?

Waalaikumsalam. Alhamdulillah, Habibi. Mashaallah I am great. Competition mode is on now for me personally.

2. Before we go too far, we would like to ask you about Indonesia, especially the atmosphere and football. It seems like Indonesia has become your second home, after the first season playing at Persib Bandung, then not long after you returned, and now play for Bali United?

Indonesia is a vibrant mosaic of warmth and passion, where the love for football runs deep. Playing in Bandung and Bali has been an honour, a second home where I found acceptance and brotherhood. Witnessing the enthusiasm of Indonesian fans reminds me that regardless of borders, the human spirit craves beauty and joy. It's this shared love for the game that fosters understanding and connection, transcending any conflict.

3. Happy to hear that. Now, how is the 2023 Asian Cup so far? Do you think it's the biggest stage you have ever participated in?

The tournament is a whirlwind of talent and passion, a testament to the unifying power of sport. While it's undoubtedly a grand stage, the biggest event is always the fight for justice and peace. Every game becomes a platform to share our story, not just of conflict, but of hope and spirit.

4. How's the team? How do you focus on the match amidst a situation like that in your homeland?

Our team is a microcosm of Palestine, bound by love for our land and a shared dream of a brighter future. The pain of our homeland lives within us, but we channel it into unity and purpose on the pitch. It's not easy, but focusing on the game lets us momentarily escape the harsh realities, offering a respite and a chance to showcase Palestinian strength and artistry.

5. How do you fight through football?

For us, football transcends the game. Every pass is a bridge built towards understanding, every goal a celebration of the human spirit. We weave tales of resilience into our movements, defying negativity with joy and skill. Through football, we fight not just for Palestine, but for a world where every child can chase their dreams under a sky free from shadows.

6. How can sports be a force for good in the world?

Sports have the power to bridge divides and challenge narratives. They offer a common language, a space where empathy and understanding bloom. Imagine if every tackle became a call for peace, every goal a celebration of unity. That's the magic of sports – uniting people under a banner of shared humanity, reminding us that peace is not just a dream, but a possibility we can all strive towards.

7. How can athletes use their platforms to raise awareness about important issues like the conflict in Gaza?

Our voices, amplified by the spotlight, can pierce through indifference. We can speak truth to power, humanize the struggles, and challenge misconceptions. We inspire empathy and action by sharing stories of resilience and hope, not just tragedy. Our platforms become tools for constructive dialogue, reminding the world that Palestinians yearn for a chance to thrive, not just survive.

8. As a player who has hundreds of thousands of followers in the social world, how do you become a voice for peace?

My words carry weight, and I wield them with responsibility. I choose to highlight Palestinian strength, not just suffering. I celebrate our culture, our dreams, and our relentless hope for a peaceful future. I advocate for dialogue, understanding, and accountability, rejecting the path of anger and division. By showing the world that Palestinians yearn for the same things – peace, security, and the right to dream – I hope to build bridges and pave the way for a world where conflict fades into the shadows.

9. Do you think, the Asian Cup or other big stage tournaments has a role in promoting peace?

Absolutely! Every time we Palestinians take the field, we challenge stereotypes and misconceptions. We showcase our talent, humanity, and desire for a life free from conflict. The world watches, and hopefully, starts to understand. These tournaments become platforms for dialogue, breaking down barriers, and fostering empathy. Every cheer, every shared moment of joy is a victory for peace, a reminder that we are more than just our conflicts, that we share a common yearning for a better tomorrow.

10. What are your hopes for the people of your homeland? Your hopes for Palestinian football, what do you think?

My heart yearns for a free Palestine, a land where children play without fear.
